Your Hearing Clinic Visit
In order to help you feel as comfortable and prepared as possible ahead of your appointment, we’ve put together some helpful insights into what you should plan for and expect during your visit.
Bring someone with you
It’s really useful to have a family member, friend or carer with you for your assessment. Having someone there can be an invaluable resource – not just for your audiologist, but also for you. It can help calm any butterflies, and we may also be able to get a better understanding of your condition and learn communication strategies to help you.
No small spaces
All our hearing tests are non-obtrusive, pain-free, and performed in a sound-treated room, so there is no need for you to enter a small, claustrophobic booth.
Lots of information
Medical appointments of all varieties can be overwhelming, with a lot of information to take in. Your audiologist will discuss the results of your hearing test, deliver any recommendations, and may carry out demonstrations to help you see what wearing hearing aids is like.
Evidence-based results
During the Full Diagnostic Assessment, we rely on a minimum of four different tests to understand your level of hearing loss and, more importantly, appraise your hearing ability.
