As fuuurrrrlough ended at the end of September, we have begun a phased return to work for Teddy and Buddy. After such a long time away from the clinic expecting them back full time seemed a bit much. Not necessarily for them, they are raring to get back to work, but with so many new team members a more conservative introduction back to the office seemed more appropriate.
The dogs had a great first day back. The plan is that they will be joining us back in the clinic for one or two days a week. They really enjoyed being back to walks around Great Shelford, although Buddy didn’t quite understand that there are doors which he can’t get through but decided to carry on anyway. Confused by the noise, Dylan went to investigate the banging noise before realising it was Buddy trying to get into the clinic through a door.
Even with the bigger clinic we have now, we don’t think it will be possible to have the dogs in the reception area. So we are looking at introducing a doggy reception area for clients that do want to say hello; to come and sit down and enjoy a fuss with the boys. I am sure these will be the busiest days of the week, so we will make sure we have a full complement of clinicians to accommodate your audiology needs at the same time!
