We enjoyed a fantastic day at the Gog Magog Captains’ Charity Gold Day recently. Not only was the weather glorious, but we sponsored the 10th hole, and Nadia and Dylan also hosted an angli-EAR Hearing chipping competition at the halfway house.
Each plucky participant gave a £1 donation to EACH (East Anglian Children’s Hospices) and received three balls to chip into the net. For every ball that successfully made it into the net, the happy chipper received a raffle ticket that was entered into the “Lucky Draw” for a chance to win one of two sets of AfterShokz bone conduction headphones.
After much chipping throughout the day, we raised £330 for EACH. We would like to thank everyone that participated in this charity event and helped us make this a success. Trevor also took part in the event as a member of the “Tee to Green” team who came 31st out of 48 teams. In defending his performance, Trevor said he’s learnt not to drink and ‘drive’ – the 10th hole tee was not his best shot after his half pint and bacon roll at the half way house!
The Captains’ Charity raised over £25,000 on the day for EACH to help care and support children and young people with life-threatening conditions. Well done to everyone involved!
