Sanjam Makkar is an Audiologist with a rich educational background and an innovative approach to exploring the world of sound. Sanjam’s academic journey began in India, where a Bachelor’s degree in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology laid the foundation for a lifelong commitment to improving the lives of those facing hearing challenges.
Fuelled by a thirst for knowledge, Sanjam embarked on an exciting adventure in the United Kingdom, pursuing a Master’s degree in Advanced Audiology at University College London (UCL). During this time, Sanjam had the unique opportunity to delve into groundbreaking research, focussing on the innovative use of Virtual Reality as an assessment tool for hearing aids. This research opened new doors in the audiological world, offering fresh perspectives on hearing aid evaluations.
In addition to academic pursuits, Sanjam has had the privilege of working in Adult Aural Rehabilitation. Witnessing the transformative power of audiological care and observing individuals regain their connection to the world of sound has been an incredibly rewarding aspect of Sanjam’s career.
Beyond audiology, Sanjam indulges in a passion for cooking, sketching, and poetry. Experimenting with new recipes, capturing the beauty of the world through sketches, and expressing thoughts through poetry bring Sanjam immense joy. Sanjam is also an avid explorer, always seeking out new places to visit and fresh experiences to cherish.
